Chaat Masala Popcorn Instructions
Ingredients
1/4 cup of the popcorn kernels from your holiday tin
1 tbsp ghee + more for topping (if you don’t have ghee, feel free to use butter or make your own ghee to add a decadent touch of nuttiness to this popcorn & all your favorite foods)
Masala from your spice jar
Salt (optional)
Helpful tip: Did you know that ghee or clarified butter actually helps your popcorn stay crispy? If you have any popcorn leftover, keep it in your tin as a delicious snack throughout the week!
Instructions:
Step 1 (most important): Set the mood. Light some candles. get into your favorite pajamas and play your favorite holiday soundtrack - anything that makes you feel warm & fuzzy inside. Feel free to play the holiday jazz playlist up above! It’s perfect for a cozy night in!
Moving on, take a medium sized pot and stir your ghee over medium heat until it has melted.
Add a quarter cup of unpopped kernals to your pot, cover with a lid and immediately shake to spread across the base of your pot. Shake once or twice more until all of the kernals have popped - this should only take 3 minutes. You’ll know they’re done when popping slows down to 2-3 seconds per pop.
Now the fun part! Pour your popcorn into a medium sized bowl, add an additional spoon or two of melted ghee for extra crispiness (optional). But don’t forget to sprinkle some Chaat Masala and mix until the popcorn has been thoroughly coated.
